So last week Ivan runs into LA and FL and devestates areas around Pensacola, Fl then goes up the US east coast and creates major floods from the Gulf of Mexico to Pennsylvania. The upper circulation part of the storm get sheared and heads into the northern regions BUT the lower circulation goes off of the coast near So. NJ. Then it does some thing unheard of... it goes down the east coast of the US, crosses FL south of Miami two days ago with strong winds and some floods then goes into the gulf of mex. The hurricane center just renamed the storm Ivan this past hour and now is almost in the same exact place it was this time last week but moving west instead of north....

Hurricane Jeanne, recurved because of Ivan's outflow and influence last week is now ending its recurve loop and heading for the eastern US this weekend.

And another strange event, "Lisa", rare in itself in the small size and close proximity to "Karl" when it developed, is being absorbed by a tropical wave overtaking it from the east. It is also rare for a storm to be absorbed by another tropical system...

Enough storms already, NC just by itself has seen the influence of 6 named storms so far this season.

Weird Weather...

Weird Weather...

I've been informed by a reliable source that this weird weather and global warming has been caused by the movie "Starship Troopers."

You see, it's the friction caused by Robert Heinlein spinning in his grave...

I hope that there's something left of Florida next month. Jen and I are supposed to be landing in Miami, driving down to the Keys, and then returning to Miami for a few more days.

Might be worth ringing Hertz and asking what they charge for amphibious.
